Nature, my hungarian grandparents, art from other places in other times, Klee, Steinberg, Jacques Tati, Pedro Almodovar, Persian miniatures, Japanese woodblock prints, India, exotic water gardens, Dr. Suess, outsider art, puppets, and this spider outside my window who has tenaciously repaired its web for the third time today.
Top 5 favorite things in life:
Riding waves and being in the ocean with friends, camping in big sur,
traveling the world with my son (most recently the galapagos which were
amazing), laughing and hanging out with my friends and family, dancing
to really good music, seeing an amazing dance performance or film or
exhibit and getting inspired..oh that is more than 5.

Sarajo is an artist and illustrator living in the shade of a large avocado tree in a Los Angeles neighborhood that borders Thai Town, Little Armenia, and Koreatown, with Guatemalan and Salvadoran bakeries nearby. Her work has been recognized by all the usual suspects including American Illustration, AIGA, Communication Arts, Society of Illustrators of New York and LA, and most especially her family. One of her posters is currently displayed throughout the Los Angeles Metro and Bus Transit System. She was recently featured in the fresh section of the July 2005 CA Illustration Annual.
