Influences/Inspiration
Creation itself. Gods portfolio trumps us all. Patterns on a tropical fish and the human smile are two award winning pieces that come to mind. Textures. I love them. Love to use them in my art. My kids. They make me laugh and see the value of wonderment. Other artists art. It inspires me to create. The seemingly mundane. The negative space in barren trees for example and what images they form by their shapes. Doodling.

Welcome to Episode 45.
This week on ICONIC I talk to Von Glitschka, freelance Illustrative Designer. We start out the conversation talking about his background, what it means to be an Illustrative Designer and many other great topics on this episode of ICONIC. ICONIC is now on! Enjoy!
Introduction: Von Glitschka is a graphic designer and illustrator. But if you ask him to describe what he does he'd use the term "Illustrative Designer".
Working out of his home studio in Salem, Oregon Von known also as "Vonster" creates illustrative design solutions for such clients as Microsoft, Adobe, All State Insurance, Landor Associates, Disney, Pepsi, Kleenex, The NFL, The NBA and numerous small business owners all around the world.
Along the way he also manages to produce and create his own unique art projects such as "IllustrationClass.com", "Keyboard-Characters.com" and his own podcast called "The Illustrative Designer". Are you getting exhausted yet?
Von has worked in the communications arts business since 1987 and started his own design firm in 2002. All of Von's work can be seen by visiting www.glitschka.com.
