When he was a child, Walter wanted to be a taxi driver, but he grew up and ended up working with graphic arts.
Along the road, he did all sort of design jobs: logos, packages, book and Cd covers. He also published comics, painted cars and walls too. For the past 15 years he has been focused on the kind of work that he likes the best: illustration.
His work has been published in major Brazilian newspapers and magazines, such as: O Globo; Jornal do Brasil; O Dia; Bizz and Selecoes Reader’s Disgest and this last year it was the main feature in Graphica, a top quality Brazilian art magazine.
In the U.S., his artwork appears regularly in several publications such as:
Storage; Child; Harvard Business; Pennsylvania Gazette, Bloomberg and Los Angeles Times.
Walter has participated in several collective art shows in Brazil, U.S.A and Japan and his illustrations have been featured in books and annuals such as American Illustration and The Society of Illustrators in New York City. For the past few years Walter has also been the art director of Ciencia Hoje das Criancas, a science oriented magazine for kids. He also plays the part of co-editor and art director of Papel Brasil, an graphic art publication dedicated to images.
