Riikka was born in 1987 in Helsinki, Finland. She spent her childhood drawing Disney princesses, but later on became more interested in rendering celebrity portraits (mostly Elijah Wood) in pencil.
After graduating from Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Visual Arts, she spent one horrible year studying fashion design in University of Art and Design Helsinki. Currently she's having a great time as a housewife/illustrator/painter in Oslo, but hopes she'll be able to study art in the future.
She did her first published illustration less than two years ago, and since then has illustrated mostly Finnish magazines.
