Tad Carpenter is an illustrator and designer living in Kansas City Missouri. Born to artist parents Tad knew nothing else but to draw and paint. He even married an art director/designer. Tad has been lucky enough to do work with the people at Hallmark Cards, Simon & Schuster, Kidrobot, Atlantic Records, The Corcoran Museum of Art, Myspace, Anorak, Nonsek, Sunrise Greetings and Rayban. He also along with pal Dan Padavic co-run a silkscreen and letterpress shop in Kansas City called Vahalla Studios. They have done work for the likes of Wilco, My Morning Jacket, The Shins and Neil Young to name a few.
Currently Carpenter is working on a children's book with the wonderful folks at Chronicle books. To be released next year. Tad feels very lucky to be able to do something he loves every day.
