Janice Nadeau studied Graphic Design and illustration at the Université du Québec à Montréal and at the École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg (France). She likes to explore different applications of her medium, whether it’s illustrating books or designing textile. In 2009, she has won her third Governor General’s Award of Canada for her illustrations of the graphic novel HARVEY (Éditions de la Pastèque). Her evocative, poetic and sophisticated style is a mix of retro and modern. Through her soft colors, a fine and intricate line work can be seen. A multitude of details, often humorous, bring a rich touch to her compositions.
Her partial client list include: ELLE Canada, WAX Partnership, Éditions de la Pastèque, Ogilvy high fashion's store, Cirque du Soleil (Corteo), Town & Country magazine, How magazine, Nuvo magazine, Canadian Living, Best Health, The Boston Globe, The Advocate, LCBO, Penguin group Books.
