Welcome to episode 15!
Today On the show we have: Author : Publisher : Designer = Mark Murphy!
This will be a three part series on ICONIC with Mark. In this episode I talk to Mark about his background, publishing, and of course illustration.
Enjoy!
Mark Murphy is a nationally recognized personality and resource in the design and art industries who actively teaches, speaks and creates high quality art collections. He has created over 18 major art book editions including Jeff Soto, the Clayton Brothers, Joe Sorren, Jonathan Weiner, Martha Rich, Cathie Bleck and Brandon Boyd of Incubus.
Mark continues to celebrate art and experience and hopes to double his 16 self-employed years in the creative arts business.
Mark is also the founder and soul of Murphy, an imaginative creative resource based in San Diego, California, who actively
collaborates with leading talent and inspiring artists from around the globe. Murphy has been recognized by Graphis,
Communication Arts, ID Magazine, Print, Step, Canadabs Applied Arts, PIE books, Rockport Publishers and many, many more. Mark actively pursues opportunities that allow public interaction and presentation of large bodies of art work unified by one subject concentration.
MM recognizes the need to support the arts in a public forum where endowments and grants continue to shrink and disappear for the public good. To actively involve the public with art exhibitions Mark coordinates exhibitions that have appeared in New York, Philadelphia, South Carolina, Santa Monica and San Diego. In addition, he actively contributes to art and cultural parties, assisting with curatorial and promotional venues.
