   super simple blog format.

   it seems like most of the original strength and variety of the site is still there but it’s MUCH easier on the eyes (and noodle!)

   i dig the super simple wordpress style. yes, everyone is doing it, but there’s a reason. it’s big, it’s easy to view, navigate, and, uh, i like the super simple blog format.

   I like the original format, cover page/cover banner is nice and the featured artwork/story/artist is highlighted well and is the first thing that I see when I look at the page. I’m not so sure about the poll though, it looks kinda hanging on the upper right side. The story thumbnails look cool and pleasing and the artist boxes on the left side too.

   Super simple blog format. There’s too much going on with the origional, doesn’t scan very well. I really don’t care what/who the “Featured Artist” is unless it happens to look like somethiing I’m interested in. It’s easier to bypass something I’m not interested in and skip to something I DO like on the Simple Blog format.

   In fact, I’ve NEVER liked the original format for IllustrationMundo’s home page. It seems like I always see the same stuff and the same people. I even stopped comng to the site for a while because I got tired of it… and I really, really, really, want to see sites about art and illustration.

   I found Michael Slack’s “My Life as a Chicken” on the Simple Blog format yesterday. Is he on the home page? No. Who’s on the homepage? Mostly the same people I saw several months ago when i all but stopped visiting.

   And there is MORE cool stuff posted today! NOW I will be visiting much more often. So thanks for that. I’m looking forward to visiting more often.
