I enjoyed reading your intriguing interview. Your works are public works: Artists can't protect a copyright when they are in public display. The implications of commercial media use are a red herring. That is not to say that I do not have my sympathies with the artist, but when entering into a public forum it can work both ways. What if a corporation did a public work? We would certainly want to be able to have the freedom to express a reaction. In the same vein a company has a right to parallel their product with a location that your art work happens to be in. This is the same danger of digitizing and putting your work on the internet or publishing on paper... You lose creative control of the image. I think the issue of public domain has got to be taken into consideration for any creative. The moment we start protecting creative innovations with patents or copywriters the only people who gain are not the creative, but the very corporations you are fearful of abusing your work. Legal issues aside, I think the stuff you do is entertaining and different.

It is a very playful take on the huge street art movement. It is like you are turning the streets into a big playground for people of all ages. Even those people who don't react will still remember the work, they probably just don't know how to react or are afraid to. Who is going to forget about a gigantic plush doll lying in the middle of a sidewalk? Now that's something worth mentioning at the dinner table.
