Chamo studied first textiles, then illustration at the Duperre School of Applied Arts in Paris. After this she took off for Berlin, where she studied visual communication at the Kunsthochschule-Berlin Weissensee. While living in Berlin, Chamo continued her illustration and tried her hand at her own peculiar brand of doll making. She took part in numerous exhibitions, both solo and collective.

Urban Outfitters stores commissioned Nate Williams to create custom artwork for two pillows for their Fall/Winter 2008 Artist Series home collection. This special collection is made up of art from a hand selected group of rising art and illustration stars which includes work from Gina Triplett, Xenia Thaler, and Life in the 21st. The line also includes framed prints, one of which reproduces the ‘Life is Beautiful’ pillow art from Nate.
